The Cue8 disk with eight channel rings and the mixer

8 Instruments, One Groove

Eight channels, each drawn as a ring of steps on the disk. The groove you hear is the pattern you see.

Kick, snare, closed and open hats, tom, percussion, bass and synth. Every voice is synthesized live by its own engine; there are no samples anywhere in the machine.

Steps sit on the disk where your fingers already are. Tap to place them, then shape velocity, ratchets and ties without leaving the ring.

Pattern variations and the arrangement on the Cue8 main display

From Patterns to a Full Set

Each channel holds eight pattern variations, A to H, plus two fills, FL and DR. Trigger them live to build the groove, or chain them into sections and the arrangement plays itself.

Sections run from 2 to 32 bars and advance on their own, so the structure of the set holds while your hands work the mix. Tempo automates per section, anywhere from 40 to 240 BPM.

The five performance effect pads around the Cue8 disk

Built for Transitions

Five effect pads ride the disk: FILTER, HOLD, GATER, RISER and THROW, and every channel rolls on a hold. Design your transitions live and rehearse your moves.

Every move is bar-quantized. Grab a pad early or release it late; the machine commits on the bar, so a transition never lands ragged.

Dual auto-fills and an assignable performance knob on every channel finish the toolkit.

The Cue8 master console with EQ, LFO, groove and send effects

The Master Console

Eight bands of EQ, a global LFO you can aim at any knob, groove and accent for the feel, plus shared delay, reverb and chorus. One console, the whole mix.

Groove is swing, contrast and humanize across the drums, set once and felt everywhere. The LFO reaches any knob on any channel, and the master EQ shapes the sum. One screen, no menu diving.

A Cue8 channel opened into its edit detail view

The Stage & The Studio

Perform in ACT. Flip to EDIT and every channel opens into its own detail: 55 sound presets to start from, every knob yours to shape.

The bass is monophonic, two morphing oscillators into a resonant ladder filter with glide and drive. The synth plays three voices with a full arpeggiator. Twelve keys, seventeen scales, and note entry locks to your key, so nothing lands off-key.

The Cue8 template library

15 Factory Templates

Pick one, hit Go Deck, and perform. Make it your project, release it to the community, and discover what other artists share.

Fifteen genres, Deep House to UK Drill, each tuned as a complete set. Copy one, make it yours, and send it to a friend as a .cue8 file. The community is built in: browse, follow, and import grooves from other artists.

MIDI Export

Eight channels, written as a standard Type 1 MIDI file. Everything you write in Cue8 opens in any DAW.

Sketch on the road and rehearse your transitions, then move to the studio and pick up where you left off. Every channel lands on its own track, notes and velocities in place.

A Cue8 project exported as MIDI, opened across two DAW windows with every channel on its own track
